This project would not be possible but for the immense co-operation provided very kindly by the Dean of the Madras Veterinary College, Dr. B. Murali Manohar . He was also the first to bring to notice of a book authored in Tamil titled “Maatu Vakatam and Maatu Anga Adaiyalam”.
A copy of the book was photocopied and provided by the Dean. ( The original book is available in the Library of Madras Veterinary College ( as recent as 2011).
This was backed up by Dr. Rathina SabaPathy who very patiently and kindly provided several of the photographs, painstakingly scanned from very old reference materials, dating back to the 1945’s onwards.
The warm and valuable support provided by Dr. N. BalaRaman, Editor of IVJ – who also provided us with photocopies of articles that appeared in the back issues of IVJ dating back to the 1945 – 1950’s.
Inputs by the Dr. Ranganathan during personal meeting at his residence.
